The Mobility Fund for Experts: Romania and Republic of Moldova

The Romanian NGDO Platform – FOND, in partnership with the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MFA, launched the first Mobility Fund for Experts from Romania and Republic of Moldova. This pilot round is financially supported by the Romanian MFA from the Official Development Assistance (ODA) budget and will be implemented during the period 15th March - 15th June 2013. The Fund aims to facilitate the mobility of CSO experts from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

This initiative is a follow-up to the Civil Society Forum Romania – Republic of Moldova (May, 2011) and it was one of the recommendations from the participants, emphasizing the need of a mobility fund to support the expertise and knowledge sharing between the representatives of civil society from both countries. The eligible initiatives consist in supporting activities in line with the Romanian ODA priorities: transition to democracy, civil society, peace building, good governance, education, health, environment and covers travel and accommodation costs. TRIALOG was one of the examples analysed during the process of elaborating the methodology for the Mobility Fund.
