ONE’s 2014 DATA Report: Fighting Poverty and Financing Africa’s Future continues its longstanding tradition of holding leaders to account and monitoring both donor and African government commitments on development finance."Official development assistance rebounded in 2013, but most donors have not made good on their aid commitments, and are not channeling a high enough proportion of aid to the poorest countries," the report indicates. Apart from looking at donor countries and assessing their performance in financing for development, the report also indicates that most African countries do not fulfill their own pledges. Finally the report offers 11 specific recommendations to improve public finance for development beyond 2015.
