Member organizations of Grupa Zagranica (Polish NGDO platform) have set up a new working group, that gathers (for now)15 Polish development organizations working in West and East Africa. The main objective of the Africa Working Group is to increase Polish involvement in development cooperation in Africa. By “greater involvement” the group means: increase of funds allocated for development cooperation in African countries (in 2012 Polish ODA for Africa amounts only to 6 mln PLN - approx. 1,5 mln EUR); higher standards and effectiveness of projects in Africa and increase of public awareness about the situation in Africa and Polish operations there.
