WIDE (Women in Development Europe) will hold its Annual Conference 2009 on the subject of "Care Economy and Care Crisis" co-hosted with the Swiss platform from 18 to 20 June in Basel, Switzerland. The Care Economy work, paid and unpaid, is a practice and a reality of most women wherever they live and it is (still) perceived and dealt with as women´s domain with all its implications for unequal gender relations. A main objective of the conference is to assume definition power and to design agency with regard to "Care Economy".
The deadline for registration has been extended to 10th June 2009.
