April 21-22, 2008: Malaria Conference - Joining Forces, Synergising Action, Bonn

The European-African Malaria Campaign Stop Malaria Now! in cooperation with the German Red Cross and the German Foundation for World Population as German members of the European Alliance against Malaria will host a high-level International Malaria Conference on 21 and 22 April 2008 in the run-up to Africa Malaria Day 2008.

The conference aims to analyse different aspects of integrated malaria control while at the same time promoting an inclusive approach of control strategies. Moreover, the respective roles and activities of governments, civil societies and private sector will be actively discussed. Malaria control strategies, the presentation of practice examples and new initiatives in the field of research and development of antimalarials as well as innovative ways of predictable, reliable and sustainable financing for malaria control will represent the main focus points of the conference.
