October 18-21, 2009: IVCO conference in Budapest

The International FORUM on Development Service (http://www.forum-ids.org/) and the Hungarian Volunteer Sending Foundation HVSF (http://www.hvsf.hu/) would like to invite you to take part in the IVCO 2009 conference "Volunteers as catalysts for social engagement". This annual meeting of International Volunteer Co-operation Organisations will take place in Budapest, Hungary on October 18-21, 2009.

Topics will include:
- Reviews of researches regarding gender and volunteerism and other issues
- Involving young volunteers in development programmes
- Encouraging local development education
- The road to 2011 - International year of the Volunteer + 10
- Sharing new initiatives
- Involving the 12 new EU members in international volunteering programmes
