March 11, 2008: RPP Workshop on ‚Crossborder Networking’, Vienna

The aim of the Workshop, organized by the Regional Partnership Programme(RPP), is to reveal the great potential and increasing necessity of international networking of development NGOs. The workshop will contribute to a better understanding of how NGOs can have a bigger impact on government’s development policy and practice. Participants will learn how organisations can increase their program and fundraising work through learning from others.

Richard Bennett, an experienced networker and former General Secretary of the British platform BOND, will facilitate the workshop. Representatives of 3 cross-border networks (Greenpeace, Internat. Disability and Development Consortium, WIDE) will present and share their networking experience and the benefits to their members.

The workshop will be held in English. Invited are staff members of development NGOs in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Czech Republic. The number of participants is limited to 25 (5 per country). Registrations until February 23.
